"Un-Perfect", a new film starring Robert X. Golphin (The Great Debaters, Punch Me), is now an award-winning film.

"Un-Perfect" has premiered in North Carolina and Pennsylvania, but with its first official festival selection at the 2011 Los Angeles Reel Film Festival now comes the award for "Best Narrative Short (Honorable Mention)".

Robert was previously award-recognized by this festival in 2009 when his film "Inside of Me" picked up the same award.

"Un-Perfect" is produced by Golphin's production company, Brotherside Entertainment, LLC, and also stars Emmy Award-Winner Janet Conner-Knox and Christopher Mann (HBO's "The Wire").

"Punch Me" has been officially selected for the 2011 SF2 - The SAG (Screen Actors Guild) Foundation's Short Film Showcase on Thursday, May 26, from 7PM-9PM in New York.

This By Invitation Only Screening will serve as the multiple award-winning film's New York Premiere.

A Q&A with filmmakers will follow the screening, and no one under the age of 18 will be admitted.

"Punch Me" stars SAG talent Robert X. Golphin and Brian Anthony Wilson (HBO's "The Wire", "Limitless").

The project also introduces Award-Recognized Elwood Idris Simon.

It has just been announced that a revival of Robert X. Golphin's acclaimed 1999 stageplay "Sinners 7: Plane Ticket To Heaven" is in pre-production.

Originally performed in December 1999 at Pine Grove A.M.E. Church in Greeleyville, South Carolina, rehearsals are underway for a Saturday, May 21st performance with several of the original cast members at the same location. The production is being directed by Henrietta P. Bennett.

In 2000, a different cast performed the play at the Shubin Theatre in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

"Sinners 7" is the laugh out loud story of seven sinners who must endure the rigors of Judgment Camp before learning of their fate. Robert wrote the play when he was only 17.

Principal photography recently wrapped on a new untitled film from Robert X. Golphin's newly launched production company, Brotherside Entertainment, LLC.

The film, produced in association with Keylight Films, LLC, stars Elwood Idris Simon ("Punch Me") and fmr. Eagles cheerleader D'Arcy Fellona. It is currently in post-production, and promotional images of the film will be released at a later date.

Golphin's company's debut project, "Un-Perfect", is expected to premiere in late Spring, and likely debut on the internet thereafter. That project stars Golphin opposite Chris Mann (HBO's "The Wire") and Emmy Award-Winner Janet Conner-Knox.

Robert X. Golphin's award-winning film "Punch Me" is featured on the official poster and logo for this weekend's NC Black Film Festival in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Look for a shot of Robert and his "Punch Me" co-star underneath the "10th".

"Punch Me" premieres at Screen Gems Studios on Friday at 6PM, and on Saturday at 4PM at an additional location.

Robert X. Golphin's award-winning film "Punch Me" has just garnered official selection at Riverside International Film Festival in Riverside, California. The festival runs Friday, April 8 through Sunday April 17, 2011.

Robert X. Golphin's award-winning film "Punch Me" will have its NC premiere at the NC Black Film Festival on Friday, March 25, 2011 at 6PM at Screen Gems Studios.  

According to the festival's website, an encore showing has been added on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at 4PM at Hannah Block Historic USO Building, Second Street Stage.

So now there are two opportunities for folks in the south to check out the award-winning film from Blue Angel Entertainment, LLC.

Last October, the film was officially selected for the 2010 Atlantic City Cinefest, presented by the Downbeach Film Festival in New Jersey.

Due to a communication error, the following was never reported until now:

"Inside of Me" is the recipient of the 2010 "Best Local Short" Award and a 2010 Nominee for "Best Actress, Short Drama" (Lauren Jane Krystofolski).

Golphin himself was nominated for the "Best Actor" Award at this festival in 2008 for his role in "Beautiful Man In The Buff".

Robert X. Golphin's latest film, "Punch Me", has just been announced as an official selection of the 2011 Edgemar Short Film Festival in Los Angeles, California.

The festival will run Friday, April 29, Saturday, April 30, and Sunday, May 1, 2011.

Members of the festival's celebrity jury panel include the likes of Academy Award Winner Susan Sarandon (Dead Man Walking), Oscar Nominee John Singleton (Boys In The Hood), and Academy Award Winning Editor, Christopher Rouse (Monster), just to name a few.
