Robert X. Golphin was interviewed by Kim Glovas, KYW Newsradio 1060 personality at the annual film production party of the Greater Philadelphia Film Office Sunday evening at the Comcast Center in Philly.
Golphin spoke about the filmmaking industry.
Event guests also included the likes of celebrities Will Smith, Sr., Vince Papale, Mayor Michael Nutter, and Paula Jones.

Robert X. Golphin and his "Beautiful Man In The Buff" ("BMIB") co-star presented the Best Director Award to Mark Webber for the feature film, "Explicit Ills" at the 2008 Downbeach Film Festival Sunday evening.
Golphin was nominated for Best Actor In A Short Film for "BMIB" and Panichelli for the same award for the film, "The Cage". HBO "Entourage" star, Adrien Grenier took home the award for his role in the short film, "Across The Hall".
"BMIB" was also nominated for Best Short Film. The award was given to "Across The Hall".

Robert X. Golphin (The Great Debaters) was a presenter at Philafilm: The Philadelphia International Film Festival & Marketplace 2008 Awards Ceremony on Saturday.
Golphin presented the Silver Awards for Best Feature to Kenya Cagle for "Thug Kidz" and Derrell Lawrence for "Life Isn't Fair". The Gold Award went to Evangelos & George Giovanis for "Run It".

There's no debating how Academy Award winner Denzel Washington feels about Robert X. Golphin.
Washington spoke highly of Golphin on a recent CBS Philadelphia affiliate newscast.
Hosted by anchors Ukee Washington and Liz Keptner, the entertainment segment featured the DVD release of "The Great Debaters", in which Denzel and Golphin star.
Robert X. Golphin called in to Grindhouse Radio in New Jersey on May 30th to show some love for his friend and collaborator, actor Michael J. Panichelli, Jr., who was the evening's guest on 92.1 WVLT FM.
Panichelli has landed a major role in the upcoming horror film "Sorrow Hill".

"Windows" is the story of a young male who believes that his girlfriend and older brother are having an affair.

United Air (pacific) has included "The Great Debaters" on their list of movies shown in flight.
In fact, one of the film's supporting players, Robert X. Golphin, and passengers of a recent United Air flight viewed the flick.

ROBERT X. GOLPHIN (Dunbar Reed in "The Great Debaters") is a 2008 Parisi Finalist for "Best Screenwriter 25 Years Old Or Under" in the Set In Philadelphia Screenplay Competition at The Philadelphia Film Festival, according to www.film.org.
Golphin previously accepted the 2007 Parisi 2nd Place Prize, and he received his award from its sponsor, Academy Award Nominated Screenwriter, Stephen J. Rivele (Ali, Nixon). To see a video clip of last year's press conference featuring Robert's acceptance speech, please click on video galleries.
The 2008 winner will be announced at The Philadelphia Film Festival on Saturday evening at a press conference.
